I was first introduced to the concept
of fantasy while at primary school in the form of the Fighting Fantasy Book: Caverns of the Snow Witch. Ever since then I
have been hooked. I have known Jamie for a very long, long time now and we have shared many great adventures over the years
in many forms of role-playing.
From the obligatory Dungeons and Dragons
in it’s numerous form to the barren wastelands of Gamma World and the far reaches of a galaxy far, far, away (ahem)
and in the dark smoky corners of a saloon we have enjoyed some amazing adventures with a small group of friends over the decades.
I came on-board with Jamie several years
ago now and together we have helped each other along the way towards our goal of realising a dream that we have had for many
years now. An RPG of our own. One that people will hopefully love to play as much as we have enjoyed playing other peoples
creations over the years. Hopefully this year we can realise this dream.
As a big fan of fantasy fiction, from
Tolkien to Gemmell , Brooks to Feist. Jamie has also helped and encouraged me (with his foot) to get my passion of fictional
writing on the road. I spent far too many years wallowing in self-doubt and without my old friend, I would probably still
be there.
So far to date, I have had four short
stories published by Chris Loizou over at Cursed Empire. With several more in the wings I am currently hoping to start a continuing
story thread in the dark and brutal world of Thargos. I also have four stories waiting in the wings for Codename: Day of Reckoning
and another in Vengeance (our first Epic Adventure Game Book) co-written with Jamie, which is also set in Thargos.
I live in West Berkshire with my Fiancée Tina and her
son Daniel. I enjoy movies, sports, reading, gaming (XBL Tag: Ranger Ant) oh, and of course writing. I am currently in the
process of downloading Lord of the Rings: Online, but with my pitiful broadband connection I think the Hobbit film will be
out by the time it has finished…

I started role playing back in 1980. My younger brother and I would spend hours playing Tunnels and Trolls (if I could
find enough d6). Back in 2002 I wrote, laid out and did the down loads for 8 d20 Fighting Fantasy coversions for
Myriador Ltd. It was at Myriador that I worked with one of my all-time heroes and favorite fantasy artists
Martin Mckenna. When Myriador went pear-shaped I started up my own graphic design and type setting company called
Jaytype.com I specialised in the design and layout of books in the RPG industry. Over 3 years I designed and typeset over 80 books
for the likes of Goodman Games, Hogshead Publishing, Cursed Empire and Steampower Publishing. I am now working full time as
a graphic designer for a motorsports graphic company.
I have been friends with Ant for over 30 years. Many-a-night we would play D&D, Spellfire, The Megadrive (he was
always better at PGA and Streets of Rage II) and just about every other game you can think of. Now we game online using the
Xbox 360. You can catch us most weekends online (my gamertag is jaytype) if you ever wanna chat.
Codename: Day of Reckoning was an idea I had about 7 years ago. I had quite a few notes and ideas when I asked Ant to
help out 5 years ago. Now the book is in full swing and on course for a November 08 release at
